In the Kathleen Lamb collection at McClung Library is a piece of paper apparently written by this John Henry. He lists birthdates for himself and his wife, and their children Eli, Asa, Abigail, and James. Why are the others not listed? Do they not belong here, or did they die young?

1806 tax list for Harbison area, Knox Co TN shows John Jr Hinds with no land but 1 poll. (But that could be his cousin John, son of Levi.)

Indenture made 1806-01-18 between John Hinds Sr and John Hinds Jr, both of Knox Co TN. John Sr
received $50 from John Jr for 250 acres in Jackson Co TN, in the middle district, being part of a Patent
Grant of 4400 acres granted by the state of NC to John Hinds and Francis Mayberry, grants 199 and
591 bearing date of 1792-04-02 beginning at the corner of John Hinds Sr, thence north crossing Wolf
River.
