She probably was born about 1790 in Spartanburg Dist SC.

I thought she might be a daughter of Cuthbert Burton, an early settler of the Allen Co KY area. Two of her
daughters had a son Cuthbert B. Her daughter Ann lived next to Cuthbert and his son John.
But Cuthbert's will says his daughter Elizabeth married a man named Hazelip.

Cuthbert had several brothers, two of whom also came to KY. Apparently brother Drury did not have a
daughter Elizabeth, but William did.
Genforum message 6368 says that William had a grandson William Burton Miller. But it says William's
daughter Sarah married Sam Miller, and that his daughter Elizabeth married a Spillman.

I know from death certificates that Sam Miller's wife was Elizabeth Burton. Marriage records for Allen Co
KY show Samuel Spillman married to Nancy Burton (Elizabeth's sister).
I think it is safe to say that my Elizabeth is William's daughter.
